July 29, 2008 Summer in Sweden is hot at the moment. Just soak it in, as long as it lasts. The band is having a summer break, family stuff you know... In late June I did a job with Roky Erickson and the Nomads at a festival in the town of Borlänge in Sweden. I had the honour to be Roky's guitar tech, I'm not worthy... A pretty cool job to put in my CV as a roadie. April 23, 2008 Well, here we go again. The band's been struggling with trying to find a bass player - and we still do. We've had a briliant guy for a short while but he had to quit due to personal reasons. Anyone out there who's up for it? I haven't had much time to maintain my Sir Realistic, it's just the way thing's are... Later... January 13, 2008 Long time since I updated here. Not very much has happend since last time I was in here. Still unemployed. Still in the band Strange Crew, but now playing guitar and singin'. I've created a My Space for the band. Check it out here ... Not very much there yet, it'll be. More later... August 19, 2007 I've done the gig with The Sewergrooves now, it was absolutely awsome to be on a stage again. A small but enthusiastic crowd made the gig great. We played quite late at night as we headlined the festival and it was all fun and good rockin'. I'll try to get hold of some pix and show them here later. Can't wait 'til we'll get things going with Strange Crew, book a few gigs and off we go... June 26, 2007 Sir Realistic now even on My Space . June 15, 2007 Will do a gig with The Sewergrooves . I will play bass with my friends in The Sewergrroves at a festival in the Swedish town Arvika in August. It's a garage rock festival called Obskyrfestival. It's just a stand-in gig as their bass player Andreas will have a new member of his family arriving at that time (or rather, Andreas's wife will give birth to their third child - CONGRATULATIONS). Rehearsals will start soon and I'm really looking forward to this as I haven't been giging very much last years. More about this later. My band, Strange Crew, is making slow progress but we're getting there. No worries, no hurries...... May 29, 2007 So, what's cookin'....? Rehearsals are taking progress and we're looking around for a gig somewhere. Anyone out there who can arrange a gig for three old farts? Drop me a line. April 15, 2007 I'm back after a few days in London and Barcelona... Still in the band Strange Crew and I think we're sounding good. Maybe I'll put some sound clips here in a near future. March 2, 2007 Well, I'm playin' again - at last... I've started to play bass with some dudes - Strange Crew . Check out the site, in both Swedish and English. Not me on the site or on any pictures yet, the site is in need for some maintenance. We're doin' covers of groups like Mountain, Jethro Tull, Cream, Free and more. It's just for a laugh and if we'll get a few gigs we'll be happy. We're all old enough to have given up the dreams of stardom. I haven't yet used the bass stringed Squier Showmaster mentioned below, I've bought me a cheap Jazz Bass and a small bass combo for a starter. More later.
January 7, 2007 Slow, again.... Ain't getting anywhere with the plans of a new project. Will try to get goin' in some band but don't know yet what it'll be. Happy New Year is the best I can say at the moment. Stay tuned. November 10, 2006 A new project is in the pipeline. Hopefully we'll get together in the next few days to have a first jam for a start. As it seems hopless to get a decent bass player I'll handle the bass myself. I've stringed a Squier Showmaster as a "bass guitar", I like the guitar feeling when playing bass. Six strings and tuned as a guitar, but one octave lower. If it doesn't sound as I want it to I'll buy me a good bass, probably a Fender Jazz Bass. Don't know yet what the band'll sound like, maybe we'll pick up a few old ideas of mine, or we'll do everything from scratch - we'll see... More later. October 13, 2006 Another Friday the 13:th in my life, and still alive. I like it... But why is it so hard for me to get a band together? I'm not THAT f***in' old that I'll sack my ambitions to Rock for a few more years. C'mon now... I know you're out there somewhere, bass player & drummer. Drop me a line - sirraelistic@spray.se September 14, 2006 Recently I went to Hamburg with The Sewergrooves. It was crazy. It was the "Welt Turbo Jugend Tage" (World Turbo Jugend Day), what a party. Even though it's hard work to drive almost 1000 kilometers for just one gig (and the same distance back) it was worth it. A good laugh, nice people and good music. Probably I won't go with The Sewergrooves on thier European tour in October as I'm sure I'll find a full time job soon and it won't look good to start a new job with three weeks off, maybe next time - we'll see. September 4, 2006 I'm bored... No job, no band - just plenty of time but I just can't get my thumbs out. In mid July I went down town to do some busking. It sounded good and I pretty soon had a small crowd that liked wath I did. But I had to give it up before I even really got started, the police stopped me after just a few minutes. I was told in Stockholm it's illegal to use electronic equipment for busking. Hey - I had a small VOX 1, 5 Watt (adjustable), ran on batteries and didn't make more noise than an accordion. You see, it's OK to make acoustic noise (up to 3 musicians) with wathever you can find blastin' out your tunes with, but as soon as you go electric you need a permit. Stupid... It's been a good summer anyway, hot and nice. Later this autumn I'll go on tour as a roadie for The Sewergrooves , that'll be a good break in my boredom. June 29, 2006 Friday June 30 is my last day at my day job, I'm out of there and have no new job sorted. Will just enjoy summer in the best possible way. I have a few things in the pipeline, work that'll bring me closer to music - not a dusty warehouse, where I am now. Thinkin' of goin' busking in the streets of Stockholm with a small battery amp and a Stratocaster - I think my "Daisy" will be the best guitar for the task ( see "Some pictures" ), "Lounge Punk 'n' Blues" I'll call it. Just for fun, if it'll bring some money it's just a bonus. Preparations are on and I'll get back with how it's cooking. June 13, 2006 I'm not lazy but nothin's realy cookin' right now. Tryin' to put myself together and start me up as the solo act Sir Realistic, me and some pre-recorded bass 'n' rhythm tracks. I will do a few obscure covers and some own stuff in a kind of swampy bluesy style. More about that as soon as I've started it up. A few pictures from my wedding added at "Some Pictures" ... April 26, 2006 A few weeks ago I appeared in a video shot with Swedish electropop act Revl9n. Have a look at "Someone like you" . I'm the bloke sitting in the sofa with a young sweet girl. Some close-up shots on my belly, mouth, ears, eyes, sideburns and so on...Very close-up, It's hard to see it's me - but it is. This is just a sample - not the complete song. April 13, 2006 I've just found out Sir Realistic was in top of a play list chart a month ago, only beaten by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Sure in good company... February 8, 2006 The band has decided to call it a day. Looking around a bit for new band members, drummer and a bass player. If you wanna have a go, drop me a line. The last line-up didn't get anywhere so bye for now. Sir Realistic will continue to deliver stupid songs as the one man band I've been for some time but I'm eager to get rocking in a proper band. A song maybe???!!! OK, let's go walzing. Head over heels is a tune 'bout the misery of hangovers. Recorded in my living room, with a boring drum machine and only digital fx and all instruments by myself. A few more songs at the "Sounds" page. October 19, 2005 It f***ing starts to ROCK now. We're getting there and we'll soon make a proper demo. A few gigs in the pipeline and we're really longin' to get on the road. Cheezuz has lost his daytime job and will soon go to Oz for a few weeks, to check out for new spaces for rock 'n' roll in the Outback. More late', mates... September 8, 2005 The songs are takin' good shape, thanx Danny Danger for your contribution. A few new pictures on the site. Some of the pics are shot by a nice bloke in Crashdiet. We didn't get his name but we're greatful anyway, thanx CrashDude. September 1, 2005 OK, here we are again. We haven't been lazy - just the ordinary summer break. We've found us a new bass player and we welcome Daniel Ramsten aboard. We'll see what stupid nickname we'll give him in the future but for now we'll just call him Daniel. More of his presentation soon to come. July 3, 2005 Sad to say bassplayer Lance Cumsalot has left the band due to personal reasons. We're currently looking for a new bass player and we'll be back with the good news as soon as we have any. May 13, 2005 Aaahhh....Friday the 13:th, what a lucky day. Yesterday we had a good rehearsel, the first one as a trio. Earlier this week guitarist Janne decided to leave the band, no hard feelings and good luck to a good musician. The rest of us will go on with what we've started. Bassplayer Lance Cumsalot and drummer Dwightfry want the band to be called Sir Realistic. That's fine with me ("me" is from now on Cheezuz) and we'll do some changes at this site so it'll be more band related, rather than Cheezuz' own site. New pictures and stories will be up soon. April 28, 2005 I've bought me a digital porta studio, a Zoom MRS-1266 - Fun stuff. The very first recording on that one is now available at the "Sounds" section. The song is called "Monkey on your back" (no, it's not that old Aerosmith tune). There's also a new version of "Wheels of fortune" there, the old one is out.. Forth rehearsel tonight with the new project. April 21, 2005 A new project started 3 weeks ago. Original material only, no tarty covers. No spandex, no silly hair, no fast guitar solos, just pure Rock 'n' f***ing Roll. Third rehearsel tonight, we'll see what this'll be. March 15, 2005 The songs can now be downloaded from the "Sounds" section. Right click on the mouse and chose "Save target as..." No new songs there, but still.....! March 11, 2005 If you see this you've already noticed a new address to my site... ...and a slightly new design. I haven't had any inspiration lately. No new songs coming out of my head or hands and the old songs at the "Sounds"-side can't be reached, the server is down. I'll be back as soon as I have something more positive to write. December 24, 2004 Just wanna say a very MERRY XMAS to everybody. Stay cool and stay tuned. December 15, 2004 ...and "Freeloader" now at #5. A new mix of "It's in my genes" is now available here. I'm not that happy with it but I have to stick with it now as I've ruined the masters, take it or leave it. December 12, 2004 ...and now at #7. Soon there'll be a new mix of "It's in my genes" available here. December 8, 2004 "Freeloader" is still climbing at SectionZ, now at #9. November 30, 2004 The first mix of a new song, "It's in my genes" is now available. Stupid lyrics and garage-rocking music. More info at the "Sounds" section. November 29, 2004 Still climbing, "Freeloader" is now at #13 in the SectionZ chart. A new tune, "It's in my genes", is taking shape. Just need to do a bit more mixing before I let it all hang out here. Be patient. November 26, 2004 "Freeloader" is today up at #15 in the SectionZ chart. November 23, 2004 Me and my band mates in the stoner project has decided to call it a day. No hard feelings, we just realized we couldn't get it together. I wish my friends all the luck with whatever's comin' their way. I have some new projects in the pipeline. We'll see what that'll be. My Sir Realistic stuff is doing well on the SectionZ.com-site. Today "Freeloader" is at #17 in the main chart. Nice. November 22, 2004 Yet another tune in the "Sounds" section. (EDIT - Now even the "Rock mix" ) "Takeoff" is a few years old as a composition and this is my attempt to do a dance remix of a tune that was meant to be more in style with Hendrix's "Manic Depression" but my machines couldn't coop with my mind... November 11, 2004 I've done some solo things. A new song, "Freeloader" , is available for download. Please click on the link above, download and give me some feedback. Even an old number called "Wheels of fortune" is out there. More info 'bout the songs in the "Sounds" section. Check'em out. Thank you, Emnitec for the space on your server. October 7, 2004 Things are a bit slow at the moment. Done some recordings but not much of rehearsals lately due to several reasons. I'll keep you updated. September 10, 2004 Some new links added today. A good rehearsal last Wednesday resulted in two new good ideas. The Farmer Boy is back from Spain, what a difference in sound. Thank you Bonden. September 6, 2004 Well, actually not much to add but I'm writing anyway. We had a rehearsal last wednesday, a quite laid-back one, without Farmer Boy this time (he'll be ready to rock this week). No new songs in the set. I've been looking into recording on the computer. I think I'm getting the hang of it now. A lot of new opportunities opens up but unfortunately I'm missing some old cool ways of recording. August 31, 2004 So, here we are again. Soon that bloody Farmer Boy will be back from Spain and we can get some serious axion. We had a go about 2 weeks ago without David on bass (he was away somewhere) but it was good anyway. In a few days we'll all be settled from our summer breaks. Oh yeah, how about THRUSH for a band name? My old porta studio broke down a while ago so I haven't been able to do any proper work with the songs. I better look into the computer stuff but, HEY, I like the old casette tapes and I have so many songs half done that I have to get the porta studio repaired. Still trying to find a decent website to get some songs uploaded. A tip anyone? June 23, 2004 A second go with the new project (it's been a few weeks in between, lack of time and heavy work load). Three songs are taking shape and there's a lot more in the pipeline. We're up for stoner-garage-trash-psychedelica... No band name yet, but I'm sure we'll come up with something soon. The r-sOuls project is still on but nothing's happened so far...we'll see... June 07, 2004 The test on Saturday, June 5, went very well. It was fun to do the lead vox, I haven't done that for some years now. No band name yet. We'll see how this'll turn out. June 03, 2004 Will meet up with a band and do a test on Saturday. Stoner rock style. May 26, 2004 The very first session with Axel, just the two of us and our guitars. Now we're getting somewhere... May 26, 2004 New project around the corner. We'll probably call ourselves r-sOuls May 26, 2004 Creating a website, more info to come...
